The Gardens are a spectacular 200 acre (80 hectare) site, world-famous for the Rothschild Collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, rare trees and shrubs.

This earthly paradise offers a riot of colour in Spring, an oasis of tranquillity in Summer followed by a splendid show as the leaves change in the Autumn.

Capture Exbury’s hidden beauty and escape the cares of the world as you explore a myriad of pathways. Children will love the adventure play area and looking at all the wildlife that we have! Top the day off with an ice-cream or tea and cake in Mr Eddy’s Tea Rooms.

BRING YOUR DOG

Dogs are very welcome to visit Exbury Gardens, we simply ask they are kept on a short lead and leave nothing behind but paw prints! There are over 22 miles of pathways in the Gardens, with a variety of walking surfaces and different habitats to explore. The majority of pathways are flat and it is very easy walking. A leaflet given to visitors on arrival shows the location of dog bins.

Well-behaved dogs are also welcome on the Exbury Gardens Steam Railway, which runs a 20 minute journey along a 1¼ mile track into the Summer Lane Garden (not accessible by foot).

Dogs are also allowed into the visitor restaurant (where we serve hot food and doggy ice cream), and bowls of water are available outside. Further water bowls are found at the main entrance and the railway.
