Dog Friendly Robin Hood’s Bay: A Dog Indulgent Stay at Sunnyside Cottage

Dog in Bed at Sunnyside Cottage

Throughout the cottage there are tasteful little nods to the seaside here and there – subtle reminders of your idyllic location – but at its heart, Sunnyside Cottage is all about the dogs.

Everything from the thought-provoking wall art to Rachel’s carefully curated bookshelves and the delightful dog-themed trinkets celebrates our special bond with these wonderful creatures.

And, despite its makeover, the girls knew exactly where they were. Back in the most dog-indulgent place we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying.

Tails wagging from the moment we arrived, the girls sniffed about like they’d never been away. And honestly, with the welcome they received, who could blame them?

Collie Shepherd’s Huts – Luxury Dog Friendly Glamping in Somerset

Dogs at Collie Shepherds Huts

Decked out in muted Farrow & Ball tones, the interior strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and subtle luxury. Thoughtfully chosen soft furnishings – from plump cushions and woolly throws to the prettiest bed linen – create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Tucked in the corner of the living area is a log burner that was practically begging to be lit. [I would have obliged if we weren’t basking in what’s apparently the warmest Spring since 1956!]

Travelling Abroad with Your Dog – A Beginners Guide

Les Gets

When it comes to dog friendly holidays in the UK Winnie, Gertie and I have clocked up some miles! From Lands End to John O’Groats, few counties remain uncharted territory.

However, when we decided to take the dogs to Morzine in the French Alps, it was a whole new ball game.

I knew the distance would be no problem. After all, my two intrepid terriers love travelling more than Gulliver himself! But it was all the ‘red tape’ that had always put me off! Adhering to all the strict regulations and visiting a vet in a foreign country – it all seemed a little overwhelming!

Paws and Relax: A Dog Friendly Stay at Wight Waves Holidays on The Isle of Wight

Dog Friendly Model Village

In recent years The Isle of Wight has become a dog-friendly holiday hot spot. Dotted with chocolate box villages and famed for its quintessential British charm, the dogs and I set out to explore whether this unique island lives up to its dog-loving reputation.  Hailed as the diamond isle, (due to its shape) the Isle of Wight proves itself time and time again as […]

Tug of Love: Bonding Through Play with Tug-E-Nuff Dog Toys

Rabbit Skin Chaser Tug-E-Tuff Toys

Walk by walk, I was becoming less desirable and found myself competing with anything feathered or furry! Gradually Winnie’s impeccable recall skills were dwindling!

My perfect puppy was morphing into a teenage terror (albeit an incredibly adorable one) and through no fault of her own. I knew I needed to restore her confidence around other dogs and manage her distractions by making myself more ravishing than a rabbit!

Whilst treats worked to a certain extent, they weren’t proving reliable enough! It was time to up my game and find a way to strengthen our bond.

With sweeping golden beaches, stunning countryside, and oodles of dog-friendly places to boot, it has to be my favourite part of the Devonshire coastline.
