Home Boarding for Dogs
It is the ultimate “guilt trip look” given by your dog whilst he watches you pack to go on a well deserved holiday. But what can you do? You need and deserve a holiday but you can’t always take your dog with you. For some this can be a stressful time, not only for your dog but for you as well. This is where Dog Home Boarding comes in.
Doggy Holidays are fast becoming a preferred avenue taken by pet owners who want to ensure their pet is not distressed or left feeling anxious in their absence. A dog doesn’t understand why you are taking them to a boarding kennel and it is alien to him to suddenly go from the comfort of your home into a kennel for a week or so. Whilst they receive attention, it is not the same as the full interaction they have when they are at home with you. However, there is another solution, Pet Home Boarding. Some home boarders provide a real holiday for your dog. With home boarding your dog lives as part of the family in their own home and receives all the creature comforts they are used to which means no more lonely nights on cold concrete floors. With loving arms they will get plenty of attention and fuss and where required their routine will be maintained, which in itself reduces any stress or anxiety.
We’re a household of dog lovers who enjoy looking after your pets. You don’t have to live near us to take advantage of this special service, if you are planning on holidaying in North Wales and can’t take your dog(s), you may want to drop them off with us on your way and where they are close by.
We live in a small hamlet called Maerdy which is nestled between Betws-y-coed and Llangollen. It is a beautiful rural area with plenty of space for your pets to run, walk and play to their hearts content. Your pet would be living and sleeping in our home as part of our family. Our home is open plan so they would be with us all the time.
Our home is in a beautiful area where there are lots of open spaces to run wild, as well as wooded walks and even swims in the river. For those less energetic four legged friends, gentle strolls can be arranged. Basically we can suit the exercise to the dog’s individual needs.
What do you need
All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations, worming and flea treatment.
You just need to bring with you your dog’s bed, favourite toy, collars, harnesses & leads, plus any treats you want them to have and their food (this is so that we can keep their diet the same to save upsetting their tums).
We charge £18.00 per day per dog and take just one family’s pets at a time to ensure we give every dog the attention they deserve. For a family of two or more dogs the price is reduced to £17 a day each. Supplements apply during the Christmas and New Year period.
