I’m Claire, and as a canine behaviourist and trainer, I have many years experience of working with dogs and rectifying unwanted behavioural issues. As a proud member of both the The Guild of Dog Trainers and The Canine and Feline Behaviour Association, I have studied with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, where I focussed on rescue dogs and aggression.
Working under veterinary referral, I specialize in aggression cases and fear based behaviour, including aggression towards people and other dogs.
CANINE BEHAVIOURAL CONSULTATIONS
When you’re experiencing problems with your dog’s behaviour it can be a really unsettling time. I have a wealth of experience and can provide the reassurance and support to combat unwanted behaviour.
Consultations typically take about 2 hours and usually take place at your home in familiar surroundings. Afterwards I will complete a comprehensive behaviour report with my recommendations and will also provide on-going remote support. If follow up sessions are required, these can be arranged by request.
I cover North Gloucestershire and South Worcestershire, and my rates including travel. To see my up to date price list please click here.
I am proud to be a Master Trainer with The Guild of Dog Trainers and believe in a positive reward based approach to training in real-life situations and environments.I aim to provide practical, workable solutions for you and your dog so that you can get along better and understand one another. I’m always happy to demonstrate exercises with your dog in order that you both fulfil your potential and achieve your targets.
I have extensive experience of working with guarding breeds and have trained a variety of breeds for clients, family and friends.
My training fee is £45 per hour for a one to one session. Some people prefer an accompanied ‘training walk’ for lead-work and/or reactivity issues, whilst others need a socialisation session with one or more of my dogs or volunteer dogs.
