The beautifully appointed farmhouse and barns look out over unspoilt countryside and down into our very own private Woodland Walk. Located just 20 miles over the Cornish border and set within 34 acres of its own land, it is surrounded by hundreds of acres of ancient countryside in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. There are numerous walks ‘from the door’ into hundreds of acres of ancient woodlands.
Dogs are welcome at Old Lanwarnick and in our Woodland Walk, although we ask that all dogs are kept on a lead in accordance with the Countryside Code. We are surrounded by sheep farmers and have our own horses on site. Even the best behaved dogs can suffer from selective deafness when finding an intriguing scent!
In addition to our own Woodland Walk, there is a dedicated dog exercise area which is fully fenced and the dogs can have a run off the lead. There are also miles of fabulous walks straight from our doorstep.
Dogs will receive their own welcome pack upon arrival. In fact we even have little tags to make sure your dog remains safe during their stay with us. Many nearby beaches are dog friendly including Seaton, Downderry and the beautiful National Trust beach of Lansallos Cove.
We provide a welcome pack of dog treats, specially prepared for Old Lanwarnick by Ani-bics, poo bags, a dog towel, and water/feed bowl. Dog crates are also available on request.
An up to date list of our local Dog friendly beaches and when they are open can be found here.
Cornwall is an extremely dog friendly county and you will be able to visit just about anywhere you like as many pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions are dog friendly.
Old Lanwarnick really is a haven of relaxation and luxury! The Hot Tub Barn is available to all guests and we have a mini-gym as well as a range of holistic therapies. By prior arrangement for special occasions such as birthdays, honeymoons, anniversaries, etc, we can arrange to ‘dress’ the main living area of your property, deliver a Champagne Breakfast to your door, or provide a Romantic Celebration arrival package of champagne on ice, flowers and chocolates.
Just a short drive away (10-15mins) are typical fishing villages such as Fowey, Polperro and Looe. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Camel Trail, Bodmin Jail and Jamaica Inn are all nearby. About 17 miles away, easily accessible via the A38, is the Devon port and city of Plymouth and the historic Cornish city of Truro is about 25 miles away.
So, why not take a look at our video to get a true feeling for just how unique our cottages really are.
Some of our latest reviews from happy guests.
“Everything is geared around being dog friendly which was an absolute godsend to us, we have not experienced this before and would not hesitate to take Maggie with us again to this area so refreshing !!!!”
“If you want to go to Cornwall, stay here – especially if you have a dog!”
“We have found that once you mention “dog” then you get downgraded however not here, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone irrespective of whether you have a dog, we will certainly return. The only other reason I have given this a five star rating is because there was not an option for six”
“If you’ve got dogs you’ll love it at Old Lanwarnick, if you don’t have dogs, you’ll love it just as much. Can’t recommend it enough….”
