Tanglewood Wild Garden is a natural garden and woodland boasting four ponds across its 9 acres. The gardens are kept as natural and ‘wild’ as possible, with sympathetic planting of native trees and plants mixed with the odd exotic variety, great for encouraging butterflies and bees.
Popular for those looking for peace and tranquillity and a slow meandering walk, but equally appealing to families enjoying a picnic, whilst children love to use the rope swing.
At Tanglewood we have kept the gardens non-commercialised, so whilst you won’t find catering facilities, you will find lots of areas to throw down a blanket for a rustic picnic, as well as picnic benches.
Dogs are welcome on leads.
Access is via steep, uneven, natural paths through the wood, making this garden unsuitable for the disabled and wheelchairs.
There are deep water ponds, so all children under 16years must be accompanied by an adult.
Compost toilet on site.
