A private collection of seven Gold-Award winning luxury holiday cottages in Suffolk, with hundreds of Five Star TripAdvisor, Facebook and Google reviews!
Here at Woodfarm Barns, we combine a dog-friendly ethos with the luxury that many don’t expect to find in holiday cottages accepting dogs. We don’t simply ‘tolerate’ guests with dogs, we welcome them.
We normally allow up to three well-behaved dogs and are also happy to discuss other pets with you on an individual basis. We have private, enclosed gardens in all our cottages so your dogs will be safe. We have superb walks right on our doorstep, as well as fabulous dog-friendly pubs and eateries and dog friendly beaches to enjoy nearby too.
Five of our barns enjoy a covered Garden Room with your very own huge, Private Hot Tub. We supply robes and slippers for your convenience, as well as champagne buckets on stands for that ultimate luxurious touch too.
A 500 year old thatched farmhouse, which sleeps seven, and six Suffolk barns, all sleeping two. Crammed with original features, antiques and modern luxuries, as well as greatly appreciated touches such as Molton Brown hand soaps, fairy liquid, quality branded bedding and towels, so we clearly haven’t cut corners.
The best thing to do is look at our TripAdvisor reviews if you don’t believe us!

“We stayed in Deben Barn for a long weekend. The welcome when we arrived was warm and friendly and very informative so that set the tone for a lovely comfortable weekend. Often pet-friendly is pet tolerant but at Woodfarm Barns the opposite is true! There were specialist dog treats x 2 sample food and in the out building a stack of clean dog towels to borrow if you forgot yours. I didn’t need to pack half of what I took. There was a hairdryer, lots of big, soft towels for the shower and hot tub, dressing gowns and slippers. Shower gel and shampoo, tea, coffee, sugar etc. was all provided. The breakfast hamper was superb and so many fresh local eggs as well as fantastic bread, jam and marmalade. There was a secure paddock for the dogs and a smaller area fenced off for nervous or elderly dogs. The barn garden is a decent size and fully secure. There is so much to do in the surrounding area it is perfectly placed. We had a great time and I don’t think Carl or John could have done any more to make us comfortable. I recommend anyone thinking about it, goes head and books a visit.” – Janette, March 2019
“We stayed Mon-Fri with our little cocker. What a fantastic stay. The barn was so cosy! Every little detail was thought of. We had a warm welcome, given lots of useful information and were greeted with a delicious breakfast hamper! We used Carl’s guide and the website he’s created to do some days out. Other days we spent inside on the sofa eating!! The meadow across the road was perfect for these days as our dog could still burn off energy. Fantastic place & people. I would highly recommend, we have another stay booked for June in Alde barn and already can’t wait. We left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Thank you!!” – Jade, April 2019
“Our second visit to this lovely property – it really does have everything you could possibly need – even the weather did not spoil our visit. So many personal touches from post cards with stamps on and re-usable travel coffee cups to take away. The breakfast hamper was absolutely delicious (we ate everything!) and the dogs enjoyed their treats too. We pre-ordered some Prosecco and chocolates for our arrival – chilled Prosecco in the fridge and the chocolates – salted caramel and honey – the best I have ever tasted – and I have tried lots of chocolates! We loved the hot tub too – so nice to relax in after lots of walking – with a glass of bubbles (plastic of course). The Schnauzer pups loved the field and the walks down by the beautiful church – so lovely to have a safe area for them to run and play and they were very quiet in car on journey home – positively tired out. We will definitely visit again. Our thanks to Carl and his team.” – The Thorpes, April 2019
We stayed at Woodfarm Barns for Christmas and it everything and more what we were looking for! I don’t know where to start! Easy to find, perfect setting, peaceful and only 30 mins from beaches and cities. Breakfast basket a nice gesture with everything you need including fruit and cookies too! Hot tub bubbling 24/7 perfect!
Basket full of dog treats and more for our beloved Jack Russell! Very clean and comfortable barn and very tastefully decorated. They have thought of everything and we would definitely love to return in the near future! – Sharon (reviewed January 2019).
My boyfriend and I have been staying in Gipping Barn at Woodfarm Barns for the last two nights, enjoying the beautiful rural countryside, the log burning stove, the gorgeous barn itself, and especially the hot tub. The barn itself is cosy, with underfloor heating and a log burning stove, a little TV and a sofa that’s perfect to curl up on after a day out exploring the local areas. When we arrived we were greeted by John who was friendly and informative, showing us around and telling us all about the local areas. Things like the locally sourced breakfast basket and a fully laid fire really elevate Woodworm Barn’s amazing home touches, you could not ask for more. We have had a wonderful time and will be sorry to leave- we hope to be back soon! – Sazzle (reviewed January 2019)
Booked to stay in The Stour Barn on the weekend of 7th Dec 2018 as a surprise for my wife’s 30th. Carl and the team were amazing in helping me make the stay special. We arrived late on Friday and we had no issues of getting in to the barn, thanks to the key safe located right by the door. The hot tub was on waiting for us so was nice and hot. We also had a breakfast basket on the side. I ordered flowers and a balloon from near by Lucy Jane Flowers and they had easy access in the day to leave them on the side ready for our arrival. The whole place is peaceful and relaxing. No noise what so ever. Theres an ice bucket and glasses right by the hot tub ideal for a bottle of bubbles 🙂 – James (reviewed December 2018)
Just back from a lovely weekend at Woodfarm Barns.
We had our own private garden which was perfect for Ted and were also given a doggy bag holder and bonio on arrival!
Perfect place for dogs!
