Woodside Cottage sleeps up to six people and is a few minutes from Newby Bridge, in a fabulous location that is within walking distance of Lakeside, Lake Windermere and High Dam. It is a luxury holiday cottage that was the mill workers lodging house for the young men and boys from the Stott Park Bobbin Mill, near Newby Bridge and is over 225 years old! The mill is now owned by English Heritage and has recently been featured on BBC1, you will be staying in a piece of history.

Woodside is one of the few luxury cottages that welcomes dog are a dog friendly cottage with tiled and wooden flooring downstairs.
Dogs can use the cottage garden at the front of the house. It is safe for them to run in and the view from the bench is just beautiful. We also have a patio garden which is at the back of the house and is safe and secure too.
There are some great walks right from the front door. High Dam( peaceful lake with beautiful walks), Stott Park Heights (where you can look down on to Lake Windermere) and the circular stroll through Great Knott Wood(Ancient woodland) are a must for walkers and dog lovers alike, you will enjoy the spectacular views and countryside. Dogs can run off the lead too.

At lakeside (a few minutes walk away) are the Windermere Lake Cruises. These are great for dogs as they travel free! Dogs can get the boat from Lakeside and the trip around the lake is spectacular. You can get off the boat and visit Bowness and Ambleside. Dogs are also welcome at the Motor Musem , 2 miles away in Backbarrow.
