Dubby Dog Natural Dog Soap offer a fabulous range of cruelty-free, plant based shampoo bars, perfect for the eco-conscious, sweet smelling hound!
There are so many dog grooming products out there on the market, all claiming to have some magical ingredient. All claiming to be the next best thing!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes it can be rather overwhelming trying to find the product that’s right for you and your pup.
However, since setting up Dotty4Paws, I’ve come across a few brands that I simply couldn’t live without and Dubby Dog Natural Dog Soap Bars are now one of them.
They are undoubtedly the best dog soap I’ve found so far!
Poppy, Gertie and I love testing out new products and sharing our experiences with you. For me it’s the perfect excuse to practise my photography skills.
Meanwhile, as you know, the girls love the camera and never object to receiving extra attention, adoration, oh and treats!
Dubby Dog Natural Soap – Dog Friendly and Planet Friendly
Naturally Pure Botanicals, are the company that make Dubby Dog Soap. They are based in Aberdeenshire and Janice, the lady behind the brand, hand makes the dog soap herself. Hence the attention to detail and the embossed paw print design.
The company are very conscious about trying to save our planet. They use minimal biodegradable packaging and labelling, and all ingredients, with the exception of honey, are Vegan friendly.
Which natural dog soap is best for my dog?
Pops and Gerts spend more time in the big bed than either of their humans, so smelling sweet is a must in our house!
I love the fact that Dubby Dog soap bars are delicately scented with essential oils. They are available in 100g bars or in smaller paw prints. [Perfect for dog-friendly getaways.]
The soap is available in 3 varieties:
Lavender & Peppermint with Neem & Honey – this has a lovely fresh scent and acts as flea and tick repellent whilst moisturising and conditioning the skin
Lemongrass & Tea-tree with Colloidal Oatmeal – a lovely zingy smell that is good for itchy and sensitive skin
Charcoal & Nettle Unscented – this dog soap is ideal for puppies or pregnant bitches as it contain no essential oils. It is also excellent for sensitive skin.
None of the soap bars are too overpowering, so suitable for sensitive doggy noses!
Great for removing nasty niffs!
I’m very fortunate that Pops and Gertie don’t like Eau De Fox! However, due to the fantastic cleaning capabilities of this soap, it would be a great product to remove any stinky smells!
The slightly abrasive texture of the soap means that you can really scrub away with the soap bar and eradicate any unwanted pungent pongs!
Dog Soap Versus Bottled Dog Shampoo
For me there’s no contest, I would never revert to bottled shampoo for my girls.
Using a bar of soap does require a tad more elbow grease, but it makes you really scrub those paws and remove any ground in dirt in between the toes.
It leaves paws squeaky clean and smelling fresh too. [Not to mention, it is much better for the environment.]
I’m so paranoid about Alabama Rot that the girls have their feet washed after every walk. Muddy or not! Having a product that you know cleans well is essential as far as I’m concerned.
100% Natural Dog Soap
Not only does the soap leave Pops and Gertie smelling clean, but what I love most is that it leaves their coat feeling silky soft too.
At just £5.75 for a 100g bar, it’s not only good for dogs but kind on the human purse-strings too!
Many commercial shampoos are packed with chemicals and a whole host of unrecognisable [not to be mention often unpronounceable] ingredients.
Dubby Dog Soap use only 100% natural, plant-based and palm-oil free ingredients in their artisan dog shampoo bars.
There are no unwanted, annoying soap suds as the products are SLS and paraben free. This makes washing your dog so much easier, as rinsing them off is a synch.
Dog Soap on a Rope!
I have left the best bit for last! Yes, Dubby Dog Soap comes on a rope! Without sounding dramatic, this has revolutionised bath time!
Rather than constantly chasing the soap around in the water when I’m bathing the girls, I can keep the rope around my wrist so it doesn’t get lost!
Not only that, but I don’t have to leave the soap to dry in a dish that gets all dirty over time. I can simply hang it over the tap and it’s ready waiting for their next bath!
And the very best bit! Unlike other natural dog soap bars I’ve tried, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue around the sink after each bath, making housework easier too!
Please take a look at Naturally Pure Botanicals. As well as the best dog soap, they also do a range of natural soap for humans too.
