Our post lady is just lovely, but it’s a running joke in our household that Poppy always receives more parcels than us humans! She’s such a lucky girl, always being sent products to test out [and pose with – of course!] Our latest package contained a beautiful dog walking bag from The Dandy Dog Company.
I’d been ogling these fabulous bags on Instagram only a few days earlier, and low and behold, I received a lovely message from Louise at Dandy Dog asking if Pops and I would like to review one for her.
Obviously being a girl of extreme style [Poppy that is, not me!] we were thrilled to be asked and have very much enjoyed putting our new accessory to the test.
Practical and Stylish
The walking bags are a new product range for The Dandy Dog Company and come in four different colour ways – each of them practical, neutral colours, (suitable for both men and women) and just perfect for walks in the countryside. I was so torn which colour to chose as I love them all, but ended up plumping for the kaki green, which I’m just over the moon with.
Perfectly Packaged
I’ll get onto the product in a moment, but before I do, the packaging the bag arrived in was just to die for! I love it when brands package their goods with care and attention, it really makes you feel like your receiving something truly special. The bag even comes inside its own cotton drawstring bag, bearing a cute little Dandy Dog cork logo.
Superb Quality
Not surprisingly the attention to detail when it comes to the bag itself did not disappoint either. The quality of the product is just superb! The zips are of extremely high quality and glide easily, and the adjustable strap means you can tailor it to suit your height. Finished with stylish wooden badges which denote the Dandy Dog branding, this product just oozes quality.
Plenty of Space
The bag appears deceptively compact on first glance, but it’s actually a little bit like a tardis and very spacious, allowing plenty of room for all those must have walking accessories. Made from 100% cotton canvas, it has four separate compartments, three zipped and one at the front which fastens with a popper. Inside is a further zipped pocket which is perfect for putting keys in so they can’t get lost when you’re out and about!
On the reverse of the bag is a sturdy belt loop, so you can attach it around your waist if you prefer. There is also a carabiner to attach a water bottle, poop bag holder, dog lead or other items to.
The bag is just perfect to take on walkies. It fits in all those essentials – a phone for all the millions of doggies pics, a purse for those much needed cafe stops, keys and poo bags.
I always like to take water for Pops to drink when we go walking – even if it’s just a quick dash up the lane or an impromptu dip in the river. I managed to find a water bottle which is just the right size to pop in the main bag compartment, and it’s fab because unlike her other water bottles, it’s not heavy to carry and being thermally insulated it keeps the water cool.
