We stayed at Duckling cottage for 5 nights at the end of July with our 2 beagles. On arrival we were greeted by Sonia who was very accommodating and happy to help. The property on arrival was spotless and we loved the welcome wine and cake as well as the gifts and treats left for the dogs which was a lovely touch. The cottages are truly dog friendly and it was so nice to feel so relaxed about having our dogs with us. We had never been to the area before and had a wonderful time exploring – there is no need for the car for the most part as there are so many places to see and things to do within walking distance. We had some lovely meals out in nearby dog friendly pubs and walked and walked for miles. We can certainly recommend a day out at the Victorian village. All in all we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!
